character revamp 2

first of all, everyone, i am SO SORRY for being MIA again!!!!!
i lost myself to pokemon black and white........... ~___~

my schedule has been way f-ed lately... as evident by me posting this at about 4:30am........

anyway, so... here it is: the final stages of my character revamp project. it's not done yet but i felt like i should post it now rather than later since... other projects are screaming at me for attention!! D: i'll return to this at some point though pwooomise C:

character revamp 1

yeah so remember this car-wreck of a job i did a year ago? well i thought it'd be neat to give it a new go. unfortunately i lost a week due to sickness and stress, which set my production schedule back to the stone ages. blargh.
anyway, the character sheet's supposed to be exploratory and therefore largely unfinished, but you get the general idea. girl on the left has an ugly shirt, which i will fix later. more coming up soon!

you know that feeling you get when you look at something that you've poured hours into only to realize at the last minute that there are a crapload of things wrong with it but you're too lazy/don't have the skills yet to improve them? yeahhhh.....

trials and tribulations

loooool yeeessss i've been playing the 2nd installment of phoenix wright :DDDDD the game's been tremendously enjoyable so far (i just finished the 2nd turn-about). haha, it's really hard to tear myself away from it and actually do work but... i know i have to. *sigh* anyway, i don't know what it is with me and unfinished paintings but i just... find... it... so.... hard... to carry things to completion -__- basically, if i don't end up finishing something in one sitting then it's completely hopeless to pick up the next time. wtf's wrong with me.
i mean, other than the fact that i clearly need to PRACTICE MOAR!!!

wow yeah, i actually painted a guy for once :D
it was preeetty fun. i'm still stumbling in the dark a lot trying to get the right values down without ragequiting photoshop.... (also i'm not sure why but the image looks wayyy more contrasty here than the original @_@;;)
june is almost here!! i've been eagerly anticipating maroon 5 and rocket summer's new albums. that and abraham lincoln the vampire hunter is coming out too! yay!

i.... don't even want to go into how shamefully long this took to complete. i made so many noob mistakes when i first started painting this over a year ago that when i picked it back up again, it took me twice as long to make all the corrections. uggggghhhhhh. wtf was i thinking?

anyway, trying to put together a new portfolio right now, busybusy!
